ZenTraClim - a joint initiative of Stiftung Mercator, Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and University of Bremen - organizes a conference on “Transnational Climate Policy after the Paris Agreement” on 27-28 September 2017 in Bremen. The public opening lecture on 27 September will be given by Christoph Bals (Germanwatch e.V.) who speaks about  "Neue Klimaschutzdynamik nach dem Paris-Abkommen: Bürger, Initiativen, Kommunen und Bundesländer" (17:30, Haus der Wissenschaft, in German language). The full-day conference on 28 September will be held in English.

Transnational Climate Policy after the Paris Agreement

Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Global Finance

In September, the Research Group "Transnational Political Ordering in Global Finance" is going to host a young scholar workshop on interdisciplinary perspectives on gloabl finance at the University of Bremen.

ZenTra Working Paper Series extended by 18 contributions in 2015 to a total of 62 papers

Mercator-sponsored working group organised external expert workshop

ZenTraClim, ZenTra's Working Group II focused on transnational climate policy and climate change, organised the second external expert workshop. The event was taking place on November 19, 2015 at HWK in Delmenhorst. Intermediate results of ZenTraClim´s subgroups were presented and invited experts evaluated them critically and discussed the projects in a big forum.

Mercator-sponsored working group plans external experts workshop

Following the positive experiences of the inauguration workshop in 2014 the next external experts workshop is scheduled to take place at the HWK on November 19, 2015. Taking the workshop “Economics of Energy Transition (Ökonomie der Energiewende)” and the doctoral colloquium “Energy for Well-Being“ in the last year with the participation of both ZenTraClim researchers and renowned experts as examples ZenTraClim strives for additional discussion forums on transnational climate policy and climate change.
