Workshop Energy for Well-Being

Supported by the Schweizer Bundesamt für Energie, the international workshop Energy for Well-Being will bring together experts from academia and doctoral students to explore in a collegial environment the relationships between environmental factors, energy policy and well-being.

The workshop will take place June 5th-6th, at the Hanse Wissenschaftskolleg in Delmenhorst (http://www.h-w-k.de/) located at this super nice location, close to Bremen.


The workshop is aimed at doctoral students in the fields of energy economics, environmental economics and the economics of well-being and it will


1. Give doctoral students the opportunity to present their work to and obtain feedback from an expert audience.


2. Offer doctoral students an expert tutorial and guest lecture.


The tutorial will be held by Prof. Andreas Löschel (ZEW, Mannheim), guest lectures will be given by Prof. David Maddison (University of Birmingham), and Dr. George MacKerron (University of Sussex).


Experts include Dr. Finbarr Brereton (University College Dublin), Prof. Susana Ferreira (University of Georgia), Dr. Mirko Moro (University of Stirling), Dr. Tine Ningal (University College Dublin) and Prof. Heinz Welsch (University of Oldenburg).
